One of the greatest tragedies of the Arabian breed is the way breeders price their horses. It has taken 90% of the horse buyer public out of the market. If you are a first time horse buyer why would you pay $5000 for a Arabian when you can go to any Horse sale in the country and buy a good horse for as little as $500.

At Shalimar we hope to sell to many first time horse buyers. We won't sell you a horse for $500 but we do have weanlings that start at $1000.00, broke geldings that start at $2500, and good mares for as little as $2500. As Doc used to say, "A horse is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it".
